Country Skillet Apples

This recipe reminds me of the apples that I would get alongside my pancakes at Cracker Barrel when I was a child and my grandparents would come to visit. Yummy cooked apples with cinnamon...yum!

1/3 c. butter or coconut oil
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
2 T. cornstarch
1 c. water
4 apples cored, peeled, and sliced

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Mix well and stir in water. Add apples. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until tender, about ten minutes.
