How to Make Lazy Hummus

  • 1+ cup dry garbanzo beans
  • 10 T. sesame seeds
  • 3 T. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. cumin powder
  • 1/4 c. water
Place garbanzo beans in a crock pot and soak overnight (10-12 hours). Dump water and refill crock pot with water, cook on low 8-10 hours until soft.
Place sesame seeds on a baking sheet and toast in the oven about ten minutes, stirring every five minutes. In a food processor, mix sesame seeds and 3 T. extra virgin olive oil to make a tahini sauce. Place all ingredients in the food processor and process, adding water and spices to suit your preferences.
